 Abu Trica was taken back into custody after appearing before the Accra High Court on Thursday, where his wife had escorted him for the hearing.


The ruling removes the final legal obstacle to the extradition process, paving the way for him to be handed over to U.S. authorities to face the charges against him, subject to any remaining legal procedures.

Fast forward, Abu Trica was taken into police custody by security officials following the hearing as preparations for his extradition continue. 

Some reports have claimed that the today’s operation at Accra High Court involved the FBI and Interpol..

The extradition request is linked to $8 million romance fraud investigation. 

However, Abu Trica has denied receiving any of the funds, insisting that he does not own any of the bank accounts used in the scheme.
